56.7°C (134°F) - Highest Temperature Ever Recorded

If you ask someone about the hottest place on Earth, you may hear about Sahara desert or some other barely inhabitable places. The right answer is totally different though. Furnace Creek, located in Inyon County of California state, is one unusual place for a very special reason. The highest temperature ever recorded on our planet, of 56.7°C (134°F), found its place in this little ranch where only 24 people live (2010 Census). The record is still disputed, as it took place in 1913, and technology may have not been that accurate back then. Nevertheless, Furnace Creeak has an average temperature of 33°C (91.4°F) throughout the year, with highs of 52°C (125°F) during summer. Now, this is what we call a really hot place!
