Llama Riding in UK? Try Exmoor National Park!

Now that spring is finally upon us here in the UK, there's no excuse not to take advantage of the warm weather. And let's start the outdoor season with an easy walking tour in Exmoor National Park. Not just any tour, but a llama walk!

Take your parents or your kids and go looking for llama farms in Exmoor. After an introductory lesson about llama history and temperament, you then embark on a four-hours walking tour in remote wild moorland areas of Exmoor.

The llamas are gentle animals, so expect short stops from time to time. You'll also have to carry your own rucksack (most of the animals aren't old enough to carry it for you).

Other than those caveats, the llama walks are suitable for all physical activity levels. Our research has found several different farms that offer llama walking tours, including Exmoor Llamas, Llama Walking and Camping, Exmoor Llama Trekking.

Llama walks are a great way to enjoy the beginning of the warm season! But if the idea really excites you, we suggest you go for a full llama camping experience: this includes backpacking and overnight camping within Dartmoor's dramatic landscapes.
