The Isle of Man, a self-governing British Crown Dependency, is situated in the geographical centre of the British Isles and offers 100 miles of coastline including long sandy beaches, dramatic cliffs, rocky coves, and thickly wooden glens. You can get here by ferry from Liverpool and Heysham.
Around 40 per cent of the island is completely uninhabited, which makes it perfect for outdoor activities such as kayaking, canoeing, orienteering, off-road cycling, gorge-walking, dinghy sailing and abseiling.
