Rock Climbing on Meteora Mountain

One of the most beautiful places to visit in Greece is the monastery complex of Meteora included on the UNESCO World Heritage List. Imagine 24 monasteries on top of sandstone cliffs of 400m high. Visiting the monasteries requires women to wear skirts that cover their knees, and men need to have trousers. All should have covered shoulders. 

Once you are spiritually charged, you can find more physical adventures, hiking in the area. But be aware, these rocks can be very dangerous and if you fancy climbing there, we suggest you to enroll in trips with local climbing clubs.
