Sea-kayaking in Botany Bay, Kent, UK

It looks serene in the cloudy winter months, but during the high season, Botany Bay beach is very popular with many water sports enthusiasts. Located only one-hour drive from London, the attraction is one of the seven Broadstairs bays where paddle boarding and sea-kayaking offer a great way to unwind. Other activities are also available, and the beach is life-guarded during the summer months.

Some hazards are present though, such as tidal cut-off, strong winds and deep shelving. Jet skis and motor crafts are prohibited, and dogs are not allowed between 1st of May and 30th September.
