About Dorney Lake

About Dorney Lake

Privately owned by Eton College, Dorney Lake is a purpose-built rowing lake with world class rowing and flat-water canoeing facilities which have been used as an Olympic venue. It and its surrounding grounds are open to the public most days when sporting events are not in progress for leisure activities such as walking and exercising. Two 2km (1.4mi) flat, straight concrete paths either side of the lake are popular with runners, skaters and cross-country skiers on roll. The facilities are also hired out for dragon boating and triathlon training. Tuition and boat hire is available.
