About Fan Gyhirych

Fan Gyhirych is a summit in the Fforest Fawr side of Brecon Beacons National Park, in Powys, Wales. Its height reaches 725 m (2379 feet) and is marked by a trig point, situated towards the western edge of the summit plateau. The mountain is formed widely from sandstones of the Brownstones Formation of the Old Red Sandstone laid down during the Devonian period. The entire summit is open country offering hillwalkers the choice to wander at though most choose to use a vehicular track which climbs its broad south edge and skirts the summit zone to head down the hill's broad eastern edge.
