Glyder Fawr stands on the ridge between Y Garn and Glyder Fach and offers stunning views towards Ogwen Valley, Pen yr Ole Wen, Carneddau and Snowdon. The summit plateau is very steep with four ridges, making progress slow. The northern slopes head steeply down into the imposing Devil's Kitchen. Tracks to the ridge start at Ogwen Cottage, near Llyn Idwal, or from Pen-y-Pass or along the Glyder ridge.
