The most popular of Falmouth’s four beaches on the south coast of Cornwall, Gyllyngvase Beach is sheltered, sandy and attracts families all year round. Zoning is imposed to provide safe access to activities for swimming, sailing, fishing, snorkelling, scuba diving, surfing, wind surfing, body boarding and canoeing and sea kayaking.
There is also plenty of marine life in rock pools to explore and opportunities for bird watchers to spot a variety of seabirds. The beach has been awarded the Blue Flag and is Marine Conservation Society Recommended. The water quality is excellent. The South West Coast Path runs past the beach.
