About Hallin Fell

About Hallin Fell

At an elevation of 388 m (1,273 ft) and a prominence is 163 m (535 ft), Hallin Fell is listed as a Marilyn and a Wainwright. Its parent peak is High Street and it stands on the southern shores of Ullswater, surrounded by its waters on three sides. The summit is marked with an obelisk which is visible from many of the other fells surrounding Ullswater. A number of other cairns on the grassy top mark good vantage points for viewing the surrounding area, including particularly good views of the lake itself. It is a short and gentle walk from Howtown to the top of Hallin Fell.
