About Lake Fedaia

Lake Fedaia is a lake in the province of Trentino, within the Dolomites, a mountain range of north eastern Italy. It is located at an altitude of 2,030 m (~6,660 ft) above sea level. It is part-natural and part-artificial; the artificial part, which is around 2 km (1.2 mi) long, was built to collect water from the Marmolada Glacier.

Activities

Nearby is the Fedaia Pass, a mountain pass at the northern base of the Marmolada, the highest peak in the region, at 3,342 m (10,965 ft). This area is popular with visitors for cross-country skiing in winter and around the year for walking and climbing. It is also known for the beautiful landscape and views, a great spot for landscape photography.
