About Linton Falls

Linton Falls is a waterfall located on the River Wharfe in the Yorkshire Dales, England. The village of Linton is situated near these falls, and the scenic surroundings make it a popular spot for visitors exploring the Yorkshire Dales National Park.

The River Wharfe flows through a series of cascades and limestone rocks at Linton Falls, creating a picturesque and natural spectacle. The stepping stones located near the waterfall are also a big attraction. And a bit further downstream, the pools are a perfect spot for paddle enthusiasts and wild swimmers.

In 1909, a hydroelectric plant was built above the falls but it was later abandoned in 1948. In 2012 it was restored to generate electricity once more.

To visit the waterfall you can use either Linton Falls car park or Grassington Car Park.
