About Meadfoot Beach

About Meadfoot Beach

Meadfoot Beach is on what's known as the English Riviera and lies around 1.6 km (1 mi) to the east of Torquay and to the south of Babbacombe Bay. It is a sanded and pebbled beach backed by steep, sheer cliffs which are used by bird watchers as a vantage point. On the beach, activities include diving and fishing, and water sports equipment hire is available. At low tide, rock pools are revealed. A split level promenade, lined with beach huts, backs the beach, which has disabled access. The South West Coast Path runs along the top of the hillside.
