About Milford-on-sea Beach

About Milford-on-sea Beach

This shingle and pebble beach is near Lymington in Hampshire and has great views across to the Isle of Wight and the Needles. There are low cliffs to the west end and to the east, a nature reserve adjoins it. The water quality is excellent and the beach is Marine Conservation Society Recommended, so swimming is a popular activity here. Among the many fine walks available locally, there is a pathway which runs along Hurst Spit to Hurst Castle; and the Solent Way, a long-distance footpath, passes through the village nearby.
