Whether you are surfing for the first time or looking to improve your technique, a surfing lesson at Widemouth Bay in Bude with an experienced instructor, is a great way to give you the skills and confidence you could be looking for! By far the best way to start surfing or to improve your ability is to get instruction from skilled and experienced coaches. It is amazing how simple it is to get riding waves when provided with appropriate instruction, practical knowledge and the right equipment. When you’re up on that surfboard riding your first wave, it will be one of the most exhilarating experiences you’ll ever have! Whether you’re an absolute beginner and want to try surfing for the first time, or you’ve surfed before and want to improve your skills and technique, our friendly instructors will get you surfing with confidence. Our lessons are held in small groups that allow for more personal attention. All equipment is included and the sessions are around 2 hours in length.

Stand Up Paddleboarding (or SUP as it is widely know) in Bude is a fantastic and fast growing sport to hit the water in the UK. The large surfboard style paddleboard creates a stable platform for you to stand on and the extra long canoe paddle makes it easy for you to motor around in only a few minutes. Stand Up Paddleboarding is less challenging than surfing which makes it an even more accessible for your family, friends and great as a large group activity.

3… 2… 1… Blast Off! We are excited to share our biggest activity to date at the Newquay Activity Centre. Stand up paddle boarding in Cornwall just got even bigger on our super sized inflatable SUP! Enjoy team games, epic views and a sense of camaraderie on Newquays breathtaking coastline. Learn how to balance, paddle and navigate these supersize beasts! Under the watchful eye of our expert instructor, you’ll work as a team to navigate craggy coastlines, cliffs, caves and currents. Throughout the tour, our passionate guides will be on hand to give you a fascinating insight into Newquay’s mythical past as well as helping you spot interesting marine wildlife. After exploring Newquay’s coastal landscape and mastering some basic moves, you’ll moor up your Super SUP for a variety of hilariously fun games. These include the appropriately titled King of the SUP, Sumo SUP and, of course, a bit of classic SUP racing!

Grab a taste for bodyboarding in Cornwall and catch crystal-clear waves on Newquay’s scenic coastline. Our Taster Bodyboard Lessons are ideal for complete newbies or for improvers looking to up-skill their existing knowledge. These lessons have been designed to improve your riding - whatever your age, level or ability. A small group ensures plenty of useful tips and close-quarters tuition for faster progression. Our coaching team of fully insured and experienced instructors tailor tuition to your individual ability. Having been in-house trained by former European Number 1 and British Team Bodyboarding Coach Rob Barber, you really couldn’t be in safer hands when bodyboarding in Cornwall.

Coasteering takes you into an alien environment, one minute you can be traversing across barnacle-covered ledges, and the next you find yourself diving into the sea to cross water-filled zawns. The adrenaline-filled adventure will take you from secluded beaches to smugglers’ coves and secret caves inhabited by stunning sea life. It is one of the coolest ways to explore the gorgeous Cornish coastline. Each coasteer experience runs for 2-3 hours and involves a mix of traversing along a stretch of intertidal zone, over rocks and through water, using a variety of demonstrated techniques including climbing, swimming and jumping into water. With challenging terrain and an exceptionally rugged coastline, coasteering in Newquay is both a challenge and a thrill that gives you the chance to get closer to the marine life and seascape.

We are Newquays Number 1 Specialist Surf School. Our coaching team are all professionally qualified surf coaches as well as qualified beach lifeguards. We only teach surfing, so you can sure your kids are in a safe and professional environment. These kids lessons are great for all abilities as the coach will tailor the lesson depending on the abilities of the group. Its a max of 6 kids per session, all aged 8-13 year olds. The sessions are each 2 hours long and we'll focus on having fun, catching lots of waves and giving your child expert surf coaching, whilst at the same time building their confidence, learning valuable ocean knowledge and making friends with other kids! In addition, we boast the best facilities. Heated changing rooms, hot showers, towels, hairdryers, and a bar / restaurants with the best view in town! (all surfers receive 25% off food!)

This Private Two on One Surf lesson is ideal if you are looking for an intensive learning process for you and a friend or relative. The lessons are suitable for complete beginners as well as those who have already had lessons and are looking to improve. Ideally you would both be at a similar level for the coaching to be wholly effective. NOTE - when booking this, please only select 1 participant for the pricing to be accurate. The price is £160 for 2 people, not £160 per person! You will be met at the surf school by the coach, who will assess both your surfing experience and tailor the lesson to your current abilities. These lessons give lots of instruction and assistance over a short period of time, so ideal if you are looking to accelerate the learning process. • All equipment is included: wetsuits, surfboards and boots and gloves if its in the colder months • Use of the Escape Surf School facilities including hot showers and changing rooms • The lesson is 2 hours long
