About Salto Grande Waterfall

The Salto Grande Waterfall is one of the attractions found in the Pudeto section of the Torres del Paine National Park in Chile.

Although its height is certainly not its most impressive feature (around 15 m /~49 ft tall), it is the largest waterfall on the Rio Paine. But what is staggering is the sheer volume of water that torrents down it as it makes its way from Lago Nordenskjold into Lago Pehoe.

The area is a renowned beauty spot, especially for photographers, who come here for the clarity of light and the rich enormity of the landscape, its tone and colors.
