Scaleber Force is a convenient roadside waterfall in the beautiful Yorkshire Dales. Although it has a drop of just 20 ft, this magnificent waterfall is no less mighty than the higher falls in the region. It is easy to see why Scaleber Force is a popular photography spot. Situated within a dense copse with ancient trees and moss-covered stones, it is a romantic and mysterious place.
Scaleber Force is approximately 1 mile from the village of Settle on the Settle to Airton road. The waterfall can be viewed a few yards from the road. It is possible to get even closer to the rushing water via short but steep rock steps. If you are hiking in the area, a short break at the waterfall can be easily incorporated into your walk.
