Sgurr a’Mhadaidh has four summits in total, only the highest of which (at an elevation of 918 m / 3,012 ft) can be ascended without rock climbing, although some scrambling is still required. This route involves an ascent via the col of An Dorus (‘the Door’) from a starting point at Glen Brittle. Views from the summit, though, are rewarding with a spectacular outlook in all directions especially south east, where the whole length of the mystic Loch Coruisk can be seen.
