About Wimbleball Lake

Lying within Exmoor National Park, Wimbleball Lake is a man-made reservoir providing a large inland sheltered stretch of water (374 acres / 151 ha) for a variety of water sports and pastimes. Tuition and hire of facilities is available for sailing, wind surfing, kayaking and canoeing and rowing. You can also bring and launch your own craft. Walking, camping, bird watching and fishing from the banks or boats are also common activities. The wider country park has miles of footpaths, including a 14.5 km (9 mi) walk around the lake. Wimbleball Lake and its country park are managed by the South West Lakes Trust, a charity.
