On the western sloppy edge can take place moderate snow accumulations, from October to May. The southwest edge slopes gently to the Nant Peris valley. Y Garn is a summit in Snowdonia, located in the county of Gwynedd, Wales. Its elevation is 947 m ( 3107 feet) being the 10th highest peak in Wales. On the western sloppy edge can take place moderate snow accumulations, from October to May. The southwest edge slopes gently to the Nant Peris valley. The other side, the northeast one, consists of two steeply sided cwms, Cwm Clyd and Cwm Cywion. To the north stands along the ridge Elidir Fawr and to the southeast is the top of the Devil's Kitchen and Glyder Fawr.
