Yr Elen is a summit in the Carnedday range in Snowdownia, the county of Gwynedd, Wales. Its elevation reaches 962 m (3156 feet) and is the 9th highest summit in Snowdonia. It is usually ascented from the principal ridge of the Carneddau. The summit can also be ascented from Gerlan, near Bethesda, but is quite steep and requires good visibility and it includes walking through wet valleys and a series of rivers hard to cross. The return takes over Foel Ganol which sees very few walkers.
