About Bolam Lake Country Park

This country park extends over 65.43 acres of lakeside, woodland and open grassy habitats. There is a 25 acre lake with a surfaced lakeside path approximately 1.2 km (0.75 mi) in length which is accessible for wheelchairs and pushchairs.

There are paths and marked bridleways for cycling and horse riding. Wildlife includes swans on the lake itself, with red squirrels, roe deer, great spotted woodpeckers and nuthatches to be seen in the woodland and lakeside areas.

The lake is not suitable for swimming, sailing, motorised boats or inflatables, but canoeing and fishing for pike and perch by day ticket are permitted, except between 15th March and 15th June. There are picnicking facilities throughout the park.
