Borve has a nice white sandy beach, one of the nicest Hebridean beaches in The Western Isles. If you go over the beach and take the time to climb the grassy hill slope up to "Macleods Stone" and beyond, you will be repaid by stunning views. Between Borve and Horgabost, there is a beautiful red craggy coastline, which makes for amazing photographs! Borve beach is deeper and smaller than its neighbours, Scaristavore and Scarista. An amazing panorama unfolds as you watch from the beach towards the sea. The beach itself faces west and is sandy, unspoiled and in harmony with the machair behind, which becomes a panoply of wild flowers in high summer.
