About Bournemouth - Boscombe Pier Beach

This gently sloping sandy beach lying just to the east of Bournemouth in Dorset is ideal for families. The beach is also much prized by bathers, as it's one of 447 in the British Isles recommended by the Marine Conservation Society for its excellent water quality.

For the active water sports enthusiasts, there are facilities for windsurfing, surfing, canoeing and sea kayaking, including lessons for beginners at one of several surf schools. The adjacent Boscombe Chine Gardens leading away from the beach provides a pleasant area for walking and relaxing away from the surf.
