This Blue Flag and Marine Conservation Society Recommended sandy beach shelves gently into the sea. A safe swim zone is in place, making it ideal for families with young children. The setting is beautiful, too: the beach is set against a sheer cliff face which rises dramatically over the promenade and sands below. Wind surfing is good from here and there are facilities for other water sports available including parascending and jet ski hire. There are also plentiful walks through the surrounding narrow, steep sided wooded valleys with terrific views across the beach and sea beyond.
