Coignach National Scenic Area signifies a vast expanse of moorland, sprinkled with many small freshwater lakes in Highland, Scotland. Out of this moor lifts a succesion of mountains, which are humble in altitude (only two Munros), very craggy and entilrely isolated from one another. It is noteworthy that they are very eroded into original forms, making this one of most rememberable landscapes in Scotland. One of the best known characteristics of the stretch is the hill of Stac Pollaidh. By contrast, the coastline of this zone brags cliffs, imposing sea stacks and aparently unfinished sandy shores.
