Across two and a half hours, we will discover the heart and soul of Doctor Who in the Welsh capital, and traverse 13 series of the show, while discussing filming locations, important scenes and characters, as well as crucial buildings and streets. The Doctor Who Tour covers a range of locations from Cardiff's Civic Centre area to the city centre itself and then finishes in Cardiff Bay. On this two-hour walking tour of central Cardiff we will discuss this journey of Cardiff from Roman outpost to the capital of Wales, which saw the city grow rapidly in size, population and wealth across the nineteenth century in particular. This tour takes in all of the major landmarks of the city centre, including Cardiff Castle, Bute Park, Cardiff Market, the Principality Stadium, and the spectacular Civic Centre. Discover not only the architecture and history of Cardiff, but the culture and characters of Wales too, from rugby, Welsh food and language, to the iconic figures who have made this country what it is today.

See the six main waterfalls of the Brecon Beacons as well as some smaller falls and cascades, and admire the scenic valleys and the forest landscapes. You will travel in a modern and luxurious fully electric vehicle, limited to a maximum of seven passengers, in the company of your driver guide, Andy, who is a Mountain Leader and a Green Badged Tourist Guide. Meet your guide at National Museum Cardiff. Then it's off to Pontneddfechan and the start of our hike. We will hike to and visit each waterfall as you learn about the local area from your guide. You'll gain 400m of height on the 15km hike which is often over rough, muddy and broken ground. For our hiking troubles, we get amazing scenic views of the park and wonderful memories of sparkling waterfalls. Immerse yourself in the landscape as you get the chance to walk behind some of the waterfalls. Perhaps you will take an invigorating swim in the final pool to finish off the tour!

Barry Island, a popular seaside town where you can grab a coffee, enjoy a leisurely stroll along the beach. Marvel at the cliffs of Nash Point, part of the Wales Coast Path, which offers spectacular walking routes with breath-taking views of the Bristol Channel. Then, take a look at the ruins of Ogmore Castle, featuring parts of the stone keep, a curtain wall, and a gatehouse. Next, enjoy a stroll through St. Fagans National Museum of History, one of Europe's leading open-air museums and Wales's most popular heritage attraction. The final stop will be in Caerphilly town to marvel at Caerphilly Castle—a UNESCO World Heritage Site and the largest castle in Wales. Entrance is optional; you can also spend your free time exploring the charming town, which is filled with cafes, quaint shops, and souvenir spots. Finally, sit back and enjoy the ride back to Cardiff to the designated meeting point, concluding a day filled with exploration and discovery.

This walk has been designed by the owner of Wales Outdoors to take in the best of the Wye Valley in the Symmonds Yat area. From the start at the wonderful village store we regularly take in wonderful places of interest such as the viewpoint from Symmonds Yat Rock that looks down upon the almost unbelievable Huntsham Oxbow. The woodland is mostly ours as we are, mostly, off the beaten track throughout. This is a skilfully designed day with plenty of interest for the young and the young at heart alike :)
