About Gorleston Beach

Gorleston Beach is a sweeping, wide, curved beach stretching for 3 km (1.2 mi) of sand, backed by a sea wall and timber groynes. The rolling waves and strong currents are attractions for surfers, kite surfers, wind surfers and body boarders. Fishing, swimming and sailing are also available here. With a paddle pool and boating pond, there is plenty to keep children amused. Walkers can enjoy routes along the grassy cliff tops for views across the Esplanade and sea.

The beach is Marine Conservation Society recommended and holds a Quality Coast Award. It can get very busy in good weather.
