Great Langdale Valley

Great Langdale Valley lies within the Lake District National Park, in Cumbria, England. It is a popular attraction for hikers, climbers and other outdoor passionates. One of the best characterisc are the Langdale Pikes, a group of peaks on the northern side, which appear as a sharp rocky ridge. Using a route from Langdale, Scafell Pike, Englans's highest mountain, can be climbed. The valley offers stunning views of Dungeon Ghyll Force Waterfall, Harrison Stickle and the Pike of Stickle. The area is known to archaeologists as the source of a particular kind of Neolithic polished stone axe head.
