It owns distinct names: Sgurr na Carnach, Sgurr Fhuaran, Sgurr nan Spainteach, Sgurr na Ciste Duibhe and Sgurr nan Saighead. The five distinctly sharped peaks are a very popular landmark and a well-known hillwalking expedition. The chain including the Five Sisters keeps uninterrupted to the east where it covers a further three Munros, frequently recognised as the Brothers. Beinn Fhada is the other principal mountain in the area.
