Visitors can enjoy boating in summer and curling and ice skating in winter on the lake itself, and snowshoeing and cross-country skiing in the two nearby nature reserves, Fanes-Sennes-Prags Nature Park and Sextner Dolomiten Nature Park. There is superb terrain for trekking and mountain biking in the area, as well as trails through the nature reserves which begin or end at the lake. There is a two hour nature walk around the lake itself, with eleven panels of information about the local flora and fauna. Fishing is by licence, available locally.
