About Lepe Country Park

About Lepe Country Park

This country park stretches along about 1.6 km (1 mi) of coastal strip with a shingle and mudflat beach and large grassy cliff top, providing masses of room for games and picnicking. There’s also children’s adventure playground and a hide for bird watching. Guided walks and occasional events take place. The cliff top is slightly sheltered by the pine trees that flank it; the beach can feel very exposed in winter winds, which makes it popular with wind surfers. Swimming is not advisable because of strong currents. The park lies in the south east corner of the New Forest National Park.
