This flat, sandy beach, backed by cliffs, all but disappears at high tide. When conditions are favourable, surfing is great here, especially for beginners. There is a slipway down to the main beach, and then there are two small, pebbled beaches to the east: the first is accessible via a steep path down from the coastal path; the second called Trevean Cove can only be reached by clambering over the rocks. The beach is called Perran Sands locally, but is not to be confused with the Perran Sands in Perranporth.
