Port of Ness Beach is located in Isle of Lewis in the community of Ness, in the Outer Hebrides, Scotland. The little sandy beach stands just to the south of the historic harbour of the Port of Ness. The harbour was designed in the early 19th century and it is from here that ten Men of Ness set sail each year to harvest the young gannets or gugas on the distant island of Sula Sgeir. The event, which was first registered in the 16th century, is now authorised by the Scottish government.
