Along with a long tidal drop which reveals an expanse of sand at low tide, this makes it ideal for families. To the east you will see Porth Island, accessible via a narrow footbridge. On the island there are the remains of an Iron Age settlement and a blowhole, a hole at the inland end of a sea cave, out of which come blasts of water, particularly in windy weather.
