About Rusland Moss Nature Reserve

Rusland Moss is a Nature Reserve managed as a Tourist or Visitor Attraction by Natural England and is situated near Rusland Cross, the county of Cumbria, England. Although it has suffered past damage from drainage and peat-cutting, it retains peat forming vegetation and has come surrounding fen. The uncut surfaces of the Moss is dominated by Sphagnum (bog) mosses, with purple moorgrass in the cut zones and fen and carr woodland in sides. The reserve is really worth a visit.
