About Talkin Tarn Country Park

Close to the historic town of Brampton in Cumbria lies Talkin Tarn Country Park, 120 acres of farmland and woodland with a 65 acre lake at its heart. Sailing, wind surfing, canoeing/ kayaking and rowing are all possible on the lake and tuition and equipment hire are available.

Fishing is also permitted; and a 2 km (1.3 mi) path around the tarn is suitable for wheelchair users. A permanent orienteering course stretches round the park and there are plenty of opportunities for walkers to stretch their legs. Regular events take place throughout the year here also.
