About Weston-super-Mare Sand Bay Beach

This sand and shingle beach is wild and unspoilt. Because it is long and flat, it's favoured by those looking for quiet beach walks, beachcombers and horse riders. Backed by sand dunes, it also has an area of salt marsh at the northern end - there are great opportunities for bird watchers here. Swimming and fishing are also favoured, or simply admiring the views across the Bristol Channel to South Wales. The beach is Marine Conservation Society Recommended.
