Brean Beach in Somerset forms part of the 9.6 km (6 mi) length of the second longest stretch of sand in Europe. It’s made up of sand dunes and firm sand. Available activities include jet skiing, sailing and wind surfing. Horse riding is also permitted on the beach. A word of warning: low tides expose soft sand and mud, which can be dangerous. Visitors are advised not to approach the water at low tide.
