About Winscar Reservoir

Winscar Reservoir lies in the hills above Holmfirth in South Yorkshire. Pennine Sailing Club has its home here, through which members can enjoy sailing and windsurfing on the largest stretch of water in the area. Training is available for all ages and abilities. There is a short walk across the dam. A picnic area and two car parks are also on the site. The village of Holmfirth was the filming location for the BBC1 long-running series, Last of the Summer Wine.
