About Brownsea Island

Brownsea Island is located in Poole Harbour, Dorset, and it's the largest island in this area. Owned and managed by the National Trust, it has amazing views across to the Purbeck Hills.

Brownsea Island is popular for wildlife watching and scouting, and it makes a great location for family adventures. Birdwatching is also excellent; kingfishers, oystercatchers, sandwich terns and dunlin can be observed most of the time.

The access to the island is by ferry, and there is a fee to be paid to the National Trust as well. Family tickets at a discounted rate are also available.
