About Cairn Gorm

Cairn Gorm is a mountain which overlooks Strathspey and the town of Aviemore, in Highland, Scotland. Its height reaches 1245 m ( 4085 feet) and is classified as a Munro, being the 6th highest mountain in Britain. The fastest climbings are from the ski centre car park, via Windy Ridge, a steep and direct route, recommended by local Rangers, guides and guidebooks, or via the Fiacaill a'Choire Chais route, which offers a fine walking route. The mountain is intensely developed for wintersports, such as skiing and snowboarding.
