About Church Ope Cove Beach

About Church Ope Cove Beach

Church Ope Cove Beach lies on the coast of Weymouth in Dorset. The beach is south-facing and formed from limestone pebbles. Surrounded by cliffs on three sides, it provides a sheltered environment for visitors. Swimming is a popular activity in the waters within the cove itself, which have been recognised as being of excellent quality by the Marine Conservation Society.

Snorkelling, diving and fishing are also common activities. There are some great opportunities for bird watchers and wildlife watchers – dolphins are sometimes seen beyond the cove itself.
