Cleveleys Beach is situated around 6.5 km (4 mi) north of the busy resort of Blackpool, but is altogether a quieter affair. The beach is mainly shingle and pebble with some stretches of sand for building sandcastles.
The vast stretches of sand and sea provide ideal and unspoilt habitats for a wide range of wildlife and migrating birds. A recently completed renovation project makes the seafront with its promenade an attractive place to stroll.
The promenade is backed by Jubilee Gardens, which hosts a children’s play area, a skate park and plenty of room for play.
