Coral Beach is located in the north of Skye by the little crofting village of Claigan, which is 7.2 km (4.5 miles) north along a single path road from the community of Dunvegan. If you’re coming from Portree, it is 41 km (25.5 miles) and takes approximately 35 minutes. The beach is made from mashed white coral as seaweed makes the water seem tropical blue when the sun appears. There are also many tiny, soft snail shells. A truly magnificent place, ideal for a family picnic and maybe a swim.
