Visitors often reach Dungeon Ghyll Force by hiking from the New Dungeon Ghyll Hotel, which is a well-known starting point for various walking routes in the Langdale Valley. Stickle Tarn, a glacial mountain lake, is located further up the valley from the waterfall.
