About Glen Affric National Scenic Area

Glen Affric is a valley near the village of Cannich in Highland region and one of Scotland's finest glens. It features a fantastic kind of landscapes and is extremely popular with walkers. Glen Affric starts between the sharp, bare hills of Kintail out in the west. Beyond downriver is the lovely Loch Affric, at the bottom of the greatest mountains north of the Great Glen. The Moderate side of the Glen is a National Nature Reserve, stately wooded with Scots Pine - one of the last remains of the genuine Caledonian Forest.
