About Haysden Country Park

About Haysden Country Park

Haysden Country Park covers 65 hectares (160 acres) of land on the outskirts of Tonbridge. The River Medway passes through and there are two lakes: on Barden Lake, fishing is permitted, with provision for the disabled via accessible fishing platforms. A smooth-surfaced pathway around the lake allows access to all. Haysden Lake is for water sports enthusiasts. Motorised vehicles are not permitted, but sailing in small vessels is. Elsewhere there are numerous walks on both surfaced paths and more rugged nature and history trails. A wide diversity of animal and plant life results from the large number of habitats, including riparian, grassland, the freshwater lakes, marshlands and woodlands.
