Hilbre Island is a large group of islands at the mouth of the estuary of the River Dee, located in the region of Merseyside, England. The estuary is one of the ten most significant estuaries in Europe for overwintering wildfowl and waders. The group is a Local Nature Reserve and within the estuary Site of Special Scientific Interest. It has no permanent residents since 2012.
