About Laggan Bay Beach

Laggan Bay Beach is a long beach with various peaks near Bowmore, Argyll and Bute region of Scotland. It is a simple walk from Bowmore with many bird watching chances and an opportunity to visit the beach. The return section of the main road can be busy and is not suitable for children. It is a monthly and manually cleaned beach, 8 km (5 miles) long, and 100 metres (328 feet) wide. The beach is quite exposed, offers pretty consistent surf and can work at any time of the year. Offshore winds blow from the east. The quality of the surf isn't altered by the tide, but you must watch out for perilous rips.
